November 5th, 2010 - OzGarage

We’ve featured many different methods of increasing the performance of vehicles over the last two seasons of Oz Garage, but there is one kind of performance upgrade that we have neglected, Nitrous Oxide. Come to HPF and check out what makes up a Nitrous kit, how it works and most importantly how much it increases the power output of an already modified LS3 engine.

This is the final episode for Season 2 of Oz Garage. We are currently working on Season 3 so look out for it on C31 early 2011 and online shortly after.

Exhaust systems are one of the first modifications people make with their cars and as such there is great variation in options available and just as many opinions of which is best. With this in mind we bring you a test of several of HPF’s more popular exhaust combinations back to back on a 6.2l LS3 powered VE HSV.

This is the first time Horsepower Factory have done a back to back comparison like this and the results were definitely surprising. Plus, with Rob running through the exhaust systems and the variations in components there is plenty of tech content for those with a thirst for knowledge!

Season 2 – Episode 8

The Chrysler 300C has certainly made an impact on the modified car scene world wide and Australia is no exception. HPF have been lucky enough to have modified many 300C’s for customers from mild upgrades to all out stroked and blown monsters.

This time we test the performance of a standard SRT8, then perform a series of upgrades including a Vortech centrifugal supercharger, exhaust and stall converter. Rob explains each of the components then you’ll see how the modified version compares in both performance and driveability.
